Our bracelets are made with only high quality materials. Our items are purchased from reputable suppliers who have been in business for over 25 years. Our beads, toggles, and other jewelry components are made from: .925 sterling silver, 14K solid gold, or 14K gold filled materials. We use 49 strand stainless steel wire which has a nylon coating. We use the best quality stringing wire available. Each bracelet is individually laid to get the best placement for the beads. For multiple strands, we take extra care to make sure that beads and sequences match up. For multiple strands, we can also add spacer bars. Each bracelet is made special upon order just for you! Please be aware: Do not use "jewelry
dips" on your jewelry. This can strip the lettering and damage the
antique beads! The damage from these jewelry dip cleaners can be
permanent to your bracelet and other jewelry! Also it is not
advised to wear your bracelets in the pool or ocean as the
chemicals/environment can damage your bracelet. How do I clean my jewelry? We use only high quality materials to create a product that will last! Jewelry can dull when it gets dirty, but the great thing about sterling silver and our products is that it is easy to return them to their original shine. The best way to clean your jewelry is with a silver polishing cloth. Our quality .925 sterling silver components, will shine up wonderfully with a little buffing using a silver polishing cloth. Do not use "jewelry dips" on your bracelets (as these dips can damage the antique finish on the Alphabet beads, Bali beads and/or crystals)! If your bracelet is damaged from use of these products, we will replace the beads for a small fee. Occasionally, I clean my bracelet with a sterling silver cleaning paste. I use the paste type cleaner that you might use on your sterling silverware or sterling silver dishes. If you have any questions about what to use on your jewelry, give us a call or send us an email. It is not advised that you wear your bracelets in the pool or
ocean as the chemicals/environment can damage your bracelet.
What is 14 Kt Gold Filled? 14 Kt Gold Filled vs. 14 Kt Solid Gold We use gold filled beads in our two tone jewelry. We have found it to be a sturdy and quality item, we recommend gold filled beads for your two tone beading options. Below is a description of gold filled bead and how they are made. 14kt Gold Filled metal is brass with 1/20th by weight of 14kt solid gold material layered & chemically bonded to the surface of the brass "core" material. This is a much thicker layer of gold than any plated material, and has a higher gold content than 10 or 12kt Gold - Filled material. It is a lifetime product for most customers. Gold filled beads are sturdy and have the quality you expect from gold with more durability than solid 14K gold beads. 14Kt Solid Gold Beads: Upon the request of many of our customers, we started carrying
the solid gold beads. Please note that solid gold beads are more
malleable than the gold filled beads. This means that they can dent,
crush, and scratch far easier than the gold filled beads. We use what is
called "heavy" weight gold beads, this gives the beads a little more
weight and strength. These beads can still dent easier than the 14 kt gold filled beads. Please note that if these beads dent or
scratch, we will replace them for a small fee (cost of the bead
only). Because of the softness of these beads, we can not
guarantee that they will not crush or dent. If you have any questions about the differences between
using gold filled and solid gold, please
contact us.
Sizing? How to get a perfect fit? If you are purchasing the item as a gift, we have a sizing guideline below. Please note it is better to order a bracelet that is too big than too small. A good standard size for a gift is 7 1/2. To get the perfect
fit:
measure wrist at the wrist bone.
Measure SNUG to the skin. There should be no gab when
measuring your wrist! Add 1 inch to the wrist measurement for the bracelet size. If you do not have a tape measure, a piece of string or dental
floss can be used to get the length of your wrist. Then place
the string or floss up to a ruler.
Be careful
is you are using a size from another bracelet (please note using
another bracelet is not the best way to measure as bracelets can fit
differently). Make sure you
are measuring from the end of the clasp to the other end of the
clasp. As this can make a big difference in how your bracelet
will fit. We measure from end to end, so if the measurement we
receive is not the full length of the bracelet, it may not fit
well. Also, please note that bracelets will fit slightly
different because of the bulk of the beads and the type of toggle
used. The best way to get an accurate sizing is to measure
the wrist.
What type of clasps do you have, and which is the strongest? We have a variety of different clasps. We have toggle clasps,
lobster clasps, and special multi strand clasps. Are the lobster
clasp stronger? This is a question that is often asked. The
lobster clasps are no stronger than the toggle clasps. So choose
your clasp according to which you find easier to take on and off or
which you prefer. Please note that some clasps work better
with single or multiple strands. Please let us know if you
have any questions about the best clasp to use. Can I Resize or Redesign my Bracelet? How do get the correct size? Repairs? Adding a strand or name to an existing bracelet?
